Client Confidentiality & Data Responsibility

Tight Lines is a UK-based marketing consultancy providing Fractional CMO services to B2B organisations across Sussex, the UK, Japan, and worldwide.

Tight Lines works closely with founders, leadership teams, and commercial teams to support marketing strategy, positioning, and go-to-market execution.

These engagements often involve access to sensitive information, including internal strategy documents, commercial data, product plans, and customer insights.

Maintaining confidentiality and responsible data handling is therefore a core operating principle.

 

Confidentiality Commitment

Information shared during client engagements is treated as strictly confidential.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • internal strategy documents

  • commercial data and forecasts

  • marketing plans and campaign performance

  • product or service roadmaps

  • organisational information

Client information is not disclosed to third parties without permission.

Responsible Data Handling

Tight Lines maintains a pragmatic and proportionate approach to data security appropriate to a consultancy of its size.

This includes:

  • limiting the collection and storage of unnecessary information

  • storing working documents only where required for project delivery

  • removing materials once they are no longer needed

Where possible, work is conducted using secure professional platforms rather than informal file sharing.

Secure Working Practices

Client materials may be stored using professional productivity platforms such as:

  • secure cloud document systems

  • password-protected file sharing tools

  • encrypted communication platforms where appropriate

Access is limited to the consultant working on the engagement.

Non-Disclosure Agreements

Tight Lines regularly works under Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) where required by clients.

These agreements provide additional formal protection around confidentiality and the handling of sensitive commercial information.
